August 9th Report: Top FinTech Funding Rounds

Our solo blockbuster this week is C2FO. This Kansas-based online working capital marketplace raked in $200M in Series G funding. Keep an eye on this newly minted unicorn as it continues to matchmake accounts payable/receivable nightmares into oblivion.

Coming in a distant second is BlockFi’s $18.3M Series A round. Find a few Bitcoins in the cushions? This non-bank lender will loan you cold hard cash. Now go buy that Lambo.

Half a lap behind is Morty with an $8.5M Series A. Not to be confused with a similarly-named interdimensional traveling cartoon character, this Empire Startups and Techstars alum Morty is an online mortgage marketplace empowering homebuyers.

Center-of-the-pack is SurchX with a $3M Seed round. Brainchild of LifeLock co-founder Robert Maynard, the company puts credit card fees back in your pocket by charging your customers. Vying for position is podcast monetizer Glow Technologies and its $2.3M Seed. Hot on the heels is Torii’s $1.4M Seed, Massachusetts home buying on mobile. Rounding out the pack is cryptocurrency wallet-plus-exchange Evercoin, with a $1M pre-Seed.

This week welcomes three dark horse contenders: Blockfolio, mobile cryptocurrency portfolio-tracker hybrid; Totum Risk, SaaS risk tolerance for financial gurus; Car Loans Canada, handing out loan pre-approvals on mobile.
