Meet the Speakers
Maia Bittner is a leader in startup operations. She currently heads business operations at Chime following the acquisition of her company Pinch. Pinch was an app that helped customers build their credit scores through paying rent. As the Co-Founder and COO at Pinch, Maia raised $1.8M from investors including Homebrew and Collaborative Fund. Prior to Pinch, Maia was Co-Founder & CTO of Rocksbox, a successful jewelry rental startup that has raised $12.3 million from investors including Matrix, KEC, and SignalFire. Maia is an early-stage startup investor through her AngelList syndicate, Parcel B, and through Sequoia Capital’s Scout program. She has a passion for being scrappy and helping founders to prove out their new ideas and build successful companies efficiently.
Christopher Hussain is the founder of RealKey. Prior to founding RealKey, Christopher was a CA Real Estate Broker and the #1 Mortgage Originator in the US from 2010-11, having personally funded over ~$2b in loans in all 50 states (one of only a handful of individuals to ever accomplish this feat). He also co-founded Sindeo (a startup in San Francisco which raised ~$50m to create a new mortgage experience, which was acquired in 2017 by RenRen). Focusing on the most difficult transaction types, industry peers quoted, “If Christopher can’t do the loan, no one can”. Prior to running his own brokerage, Christopher was the National Sales Director for First National Mortgage Sources, managing ~1500 employees while managing his own local 100 person office. Christopher spends his free time advising for numerous startups on growth hacking, marketing, and operations strategy. He is also a 4th degree instructor in Taekwondo and rare beer collector.
