November 15th Report: Top FinTech Funding Rounds

We begin this week with a Series A breakout by Vindex. Power up your gaming gear, because this NYC-based eSports platform is sporting a $60M raise. With a market CAGR of 22.3% and estimated revenue of $1.79B by 2022, the world of sports is on a headlong rush into the digital realm.

Next up: Tel Aviv-based Papaya Global. This global payroll management platform garnered $45M in Series A funding. Among their VC support is Bessemer Venture Partners – you may have heard of some of their early investments: Pinterest, Skype, Yelp, LinkedIn, just to name a few.

For those who’ve lost their way in the fintech funding bonanza this week, Reckon Point’s indoor navigation and wayfinding solutions will set you back on track. A $1.5M Seed is just the beginning for this lodestone.

Our next Seed funding is FortifyData, pulling in a $1.3M with a mission to shield us from the barrage of data breaches. If what’s in your wallet was a Capital One card, then you may be one of the 106 million clamoring for new and improved cybersecurity measures.

In the spirit of equity, our bottom-of-the-list shout-out comes in the form of Defynance – rescuing student loan debt through income share agreements.
