Carina Oriel
Head of Rise New York, Rise, created by Barclays
Carina Oriel is the Head of Rise New York & FinTech Platform Lead at Rise, created by Barclays. Carina leads ecosystem engagement with early and growth-stage startups to leverage emerging technologies and support Barclays’ open innovation strategy. She oversees Rise’s New York innovation hub, consisting of 75+ startups, scaleups, and VCs, which provides members and the broader NYC fintech community with access to ecosystem connectivity, mentorship, and thought leadership.
Prior to joining Rise, Carina led Corporate Development and Strategy at an early-stage inclusive fintech venture studio bridging the US to emerging markets. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with concentrations in Finance and FinTech, from Fordham University – Gabelli School of Business.
