Alex Marquez, Founder, SVP & Global Managing Director, Experian Ventures

Alex Marquez, founded Experian Ventures in 2016 and currently serves as SVP & Global Managing Director for the group. As a leading global information services company, providing data and analytical tools to our clients around the world, we invest in data/analytics, information security, healthcare, automotive and the broader financial services ecosystem.

Previously, Alex served as executive vice president at Nantmobile, part of the Nantworks family of companies, building novel consumer mobile applications in health, wellness, and computer vision. Alex was managing director with USAA’s corporate development group and a member of USAA’s executive management team and built USAA Ventures into one of the most active fintech CVC after his first year.

Alex was a director with Intel Capital, the world’s largest corporate venture group having invested over $14B globally. In addition, Alex was co-founder and CEO of AppScotch, which brought transparency to paid mobile advertising. AppScotch was acquired by AppAnnie in 2016.

Gopi Rangan, Founding Partner, Sure Ventures

Gopi Rangan is the founding partner at Sure Ventures, a Silicon Valley based venture capital firm investing in early stage startups. He invests with a mission to enable peace of mind. He is also the host of The Sure Shot Entrepreneur podcast and teaches entrepreneurship courses at INSEAD.

Ephraim Lindenbaum, Managing Director, Advance Ventures

Ephraim Lindenbaum is a founder and Managing Director of Advance Ventures a Silicon Valley-based early-stage venture fund. Founded in 1999, Advance Ventures invests across the technology, health and wellness sectors. Advance Ventures actively assists entrepreneurs to take bold risks, build great companies and achieve meaningful exits.

Mr. Lindenbaum currently serves as a board member, observer or board advisor to Acerro, Alpha Foods, Front Range Biosciences, MycoTechnology, PathogenDx and Willow Industries. His prior exits with Advance Ventures include: Agnitia Networks (LeadingEdge), Bright Light Systems (Phoenix Lighting), Corvigo (NASDAQ: TMWD), eSports (Ositech), iLoopMobile (LSE: IMO), Inertia Beverage Group ( WineDirect), Kite.io (Quixey) LandSonar (Triangle) MerchEngines (NASDAQ: DLX) Ooba Beverages (HealthyBrands), Parago (NASDAQ: HAWK) Smaato (Spearhead) and SnapMD, (Kinderhook).

Prior to co-founding Advance Ventures, Mr. Lindenbaum was the co-founder of interactive media pioneer Broadcast Production Group and served as CEO until its acquisition in 1999 by Parago, a leading global financial engagement management company. He is a lecturer at Stanford Business School, Santa Clara University, San Jose State University UC Berkely and has been featured in Forbes, Inc Magazine, VentureBeat, Wired, CNN FutureWatch and Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Bill Reichert, Partner, Pegasus Tech Ventures

Bill Reichert is a partner at Pegasus Tech Ventures, managing investments in the U.S. from the Silicon Valley headquarters. He has helped manage Pegasus investments in AI, robotics, quantum computing, neuromorphics, space, and other sectors. He is also the chief evangelist for the Startup World Cup, a platform that connects and supports startup ecosystems all over the world.

Bill started his investment career as the co-founder and managing director of Garage Technology Ventures, and has served on the boards of many startups. He also has several years of experience as a serial entrepreneur and operating executive. Prior to Garage, Bill was a co-founder or senior executive in several venture-backed technology companies, including Trademark Software, The Learning Company, and Academic Systems. Earlier in his career, Bill worked at McKinsey & Company, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., and the World Bank. He has authored many articles and delivered many speeches on entrepreneurship, venture capital, innovation, and other topics.

Sanjit Singh Dang, Chairman and Co-Founder, U First Capital

Dr Sanjit Singh Dang has been a successful Venture Capitalist, Corporate Executive, Board Member, Speaker and Writer in Silicon Valley for almost two decades. Sanjit has an excellent track record of driving at least 1 Exit every year: Pensando (Acquired by AMD in 2022), Nextdoor (IPO 2021), Palantir (IPO 2020), Orb Intelligence (Acquired by Dun and Bradstreet in 2020), Pinterest (IPO 2019), DocuSign (IPO 2018), etc. He is currently the Co-Founder and Chairman of U First Capital. Prior to that, he was at Intel Capital where he led Venture Capital investments in Enterprise Software. He has been an Investor and on the Board of several companies, including True Fit (AI for eCommerce, Raised $100M), Reflektion (AI recommendation for eCommerce, Raised $42M), Helpshift (AI-driven Customer Service, Raised $38M) and Enlighted (Smart Lighting, Acquired by Siemens in 2018). He is also an investor in Mirantis (Cloud Computing, raised >$100M), GoodData (SaaS Business Intelligence, raised over $100M) and Arcadia Data (Big Data 2.0, Raised $26M).

Lyman Thai, Partner, Foley & Lardner, LLP

Lyman Thai is a partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, based in the firm’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. He has guided companies, venture capitalists and other institutional investors through multiple hundreds of venture financing transactions representing billions of total invested capital.

Lyman advises founders, management teams, and boards of directors in a wide range of transactions across all stages of growth. He advises business clients on company formation, founder and employee equity arrangements, fundraising, corporate governance, federal and state securities laws, stock and option administration, intellectual property protection, employment and compensation, commercial contracts, M&A, and other strategic transactions, including equity, debt, and convertible instrument financings and investments. He also represents venture capital firms and corporate investors in their investments in high-growth companies, including seed capital, venture capital, growth capital, and strategic investments.

Lyman has represented clients operating businesses or investing in companies across a wide range of industries, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, digital media, enterprise software, financial technology, mobile applications, on-demand services, online travel, social media, software-as-a-service (SaaS), video games, and other emerging businesses and technologies.

Prior to Foley, Lyman represented emerging companies and investors from the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices of a global technology law firm headquartered in Silicon Valley. He also previously served as general counsel for a venture capital-backed legal technology company. In that capacity, Lyman helped the company raise $65 million in venture capital through multiple rounds, supported the company’s growth from 25 to 200 people, negotiated strategic transactions and commercial contracts, and managed business and legal risks across the organization. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard and law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
